Italian Cookies
Ingredients
Cookies
- 6 jumbo eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp Anisette
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt to taste
Frosting
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp lemon, orange or almond extract
- 1 handful Colored sprinkles
Instructions
Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix eggs, oil, vanilla extract and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add Anisette, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Form 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool on a wire rack.
Frosting
- Mix sugar, butter and choice of extract together in a bowl.
- Add milk 1 tbsp at time until desired consistency is met.
- If too watery, add more sugar.
- Dip the top of each cookie into the frosting mixture, and immediately cover with sprinkles.
- Let cookies fully dry before enjoying!
